Like mentioned in my ‘Effects of Zumba‘ blog, there are MANY different types of Zumba. In this blog I’d like to give you the option to understand the differences and maybe even choose which ones best interests you. Remember, you don’t need to be physically active or even have a rhythm to participate in Zumba. These are designed for anyone who wants to have fun and lose weight at the same time.

Designed for everyone, this class incorporates high and low intensity movements for weight loss and improving strength and flexibility. These are usually full body workouts that benefit stamina, balance, toning and boosts energy levels.
Typically for children between the ages of 7-11. Kids are motivated to be active and have fun. In this class, steps are broken down and there are games and activities added to give more of a healthy natural lifestyle for the children to express themselves.
Zumba Kids Jr
Typically for children between the ages of 4-6. Alike Zumba Kids, this is dedicated to motivating kids to be active and have fun. There are games and activities that are added to give kids more development elements like confidence, team work, and creativity.
Zumba in the Circuit
Benefits metabolism, strength and flexibility. This Zumba class is for people who enjoy circuits and want to get training for one workout.
Designed for adults who need a modified class. Zumba Gold is a lower intensity class that allows the dancers to focus on balance, motion and coordination. This class incorporates movements that benefit cardiovascular and muscular conditioning.
Unlike Zumba Gold, this class is designed for adults who are more active and want to focus on muscle conditioning. This class has more of moderate intensity exercises that promote strength training and reduces muscle mass.
Created for people who want to tone their core, defining muscles, and burning major calories. This class is dedicated to challenging all of the muscles in your body without you having to weight lift.
In-water, low-impact, high-energy exercise that gives a little resistance to allow for more of a challenge to help tone your muscles and increase strength.
This class puts extra emphasis on toning and sculpting your muscles. In this class there are some weights that are include to make your muscles engaged the entire class. The target areas include: arms, core and lower body.
Strengthening your entire lower body, this class includes a step box where you are motivated to tone and strengthen while having fun.
For moms or dads with a new born – 4 years old, this class incorporates moving and dancing with their babies. This class promotes bonding, learning and growing for 1 on 1 dancing together.
